    I Also Recommend:

You thought your teenagers were bad? No... they are not.

This series SE01 and SE02 are an eye opener for folks that thought The O.C or any other irreverent teen series was cutting edge. They will find such America series as sharp as the world's dullest butter knife. That said, this raw talent cast will have you laughing and crying at the same time. It is a wild rollercoaster ride of individuals who compose a destructive clique of kids, just trying to find their way and discover who they are. Unfortunately their parents have no control. This series is CHIC and HOT. But uh... there is a cast change in SE03 and absolutely no threads to cling onto. MUST BUY!!! UNDERRATED <-- keep chanting that.

    I Also Recommend:

Skins beats american teen shows by a landslide.

The first volume of Skins collects the first 9 episodes. It seems like a short season compared to american shows but what it lacks in quantity it more than makes up for in quality. The writing is top notch and it makes things that could be campy or outlandish fun and full of heart. All the cast of characters are portrayed brilliantly by great young actors. Even with their imperfections and quirkiness, you still end up caring and rooting for this rag tag of misfits. The only thing that keeps my rating from being 5 out of 5 is an edit that was done for the DVD in the last scene of episode 9 due to "music clearance issues". It ruins probably the greatest moment from the entire series, but other than that Skins Volume 1 is outstanding television. It's smart, wry and witty. Who knew that pure rubbish could be this amazing.

It's like Dawsons Creek on crystal meth

SKINS blows away any other teen series that's come before it and completely shames American entries such as Gossip girl and 90210. Slick, fast, loud, and obnoxious in all the best ways every epsiode is a blast. You'll laugh and cry with these screwed up kids as they navigate sex, drugs, family, and even Russia with a rightly earned hipper than though attitude. Even the commercials rock! Get this set today!
