Editorial Reviews

Barnes & Noble
During its 25-year run as the preeminent forum for sketch comedy on television, Saturday Night Live has also played host to some of music's top talent. Stars from across the musical spectrum have shown up on SNL to jam, occasionally trying their hand at garnering a few laughs. This exhaustive five-DVD set features some of the more memorable performances in the show's history, including studio 8H turns by Sting, Mick Jagger, Aretha Franklin, Madonna, Paul McCartney, Simon and Garfunkel, Snoop Doggy Dog, and U2. For those who missed the previously released disc Saturday Night Live: 25 Years of Laughs, this is a fitting retrospective from a show that has managed to remain at pop culture's cutting edge for the better part of three decades.
Rolling Stone - David Wild
There's plenty to love on this highly entertaining five-DVD retrospective.
