    Outstanding adaptation

This movie is an outstanding adaptation of the original story by Hans Christian Anderson. Modern movie companies usually tend to ¿dumb down¿ classics so as to appeal to younger audiences ¿ turning villains into humorous caricatures so as to not frighten small children but in doing so loosing overall moral of the story ¿ but this adaptation actually embraces some of the more macabre elements of stories from that era. To me, the two brightest stars of this film are the Snow Queen ¿ played skillfully and beautifully by Bridget Fonda ¿ and the talking Polar Bear ¿ this you have to see to believe. I would definitely recommend this movie to people of all ages as even the darker aspects are not as nearly frightening or disturbing as the ¿Wizard of Oz¿ ¿ those flying monkeys still give me the ¿willies.¿

    moving

I have not seen such a moving story for a long time... This fairy tale teaches us many story of life and how if we believe in our goals, we will reach them no matter how difficult or how cold it can be! The songs are fabulous.
