more from this reviewer

For people who can't stand the color filters in the original film...

This makes a great substitution. I never really knew that Glenn Close could sing. She does a great job as Nellie Forbush, who I always did feel was older than Mitzi Gaynor played her in the original.
And of course, anything with Harry Connick Jr makes me smile. His rendition of "Younger Than Springtime" is just about the best part of this movie.
I am a huge fan of the original movie, except for the color filter, so if you want to watch a great retelling of the musical without those annoying disctractions, this version is great!

can I buy the VHS version in Australia?

My son Liam worked as an extra in your movie back in 2001 and I have been searching ever since for the video without success. If you have a contact address where I can purchase a copy I would be very grateful. Sincerely........GeorgeMcCafferty
