    I Also Recommend:

Dreadful graphics ruin what could have been an enjoyable show.

I hate to be the dissenting voice, but these graphics were atrocious. I wasn't expecting anything amazing - however not long ago I bought and watched Batman Beyond, and the graphics for that show was much better than on this show. I didn't think these graphics would be great - definitely not up to the quality of Japanese animation - but these is more on line visual quality wise with American cartoons of the nineteen-sixties. Honestly, I believe that even the original Scooby-Doo had better graphics than those used here. While the stories might have been enjoyable - and for the episodes I watched before getting frustrated with the graphics, they were - the poor graphics really distracted me. And usually this kind of stuff doesn't bother me, however this time it did. The graphics fell somewhere between the aforementioned shows of the sixties and the stuff that Cartoon Network usually turns out. The worst was the eyes for the characters - they were simply large dark cylinders in the whites of the eyes. No iris, or maybe that was supposed to be no pupil. It might sound a bit (or even more than a bit) picky that I mention that fact specifically; but I think one of the best things in animation is the eyes and how expressive they can be. This show didn't have that, and with the poor graphics I was constantly pulled out of the story and reminded that I was watching a cartoon.

Two stars for the mildly enjoyable storylines and the unrealized potential this show had.

    Spectacular Spider-man

It is worth it to buy the volume for the complete first season. We bought several DVD's that just had the partial season. We then had to buy the complete first season when we couldn't find the DVD with the first episodes. My son enjoys Spiderman and I enjoy watching it with him. The song Spectacular Spider-man is even catchy. The series is good at explaining what happened to the villains to create them. I enjoy it and I watched Super Friends in the 70's. Spider-man always wins, and catches those evil villains, and puts them in jail. Villains include Dr. Octopus, Sandman, Green Goblin, and Electro.

    Unbeliveble

When you first look at this series you expect it to suck right? I mean it was created to endorse a toy line, and the animation it self doe's not have as much detail as it should. Thats why i think most people were surprised by just how good this show was!By looking at it you dont expect much, but after you watch it you get more than you bargaind for. The story and character development are on par with that of the 1990's series ( maybe even better ). And while the first episode of the series was just ok, as the series go's on and the writers get a fill for the characters, it gets much much better! A very well done series i recomend to all who love spiderman, superhero's, and even all who love cartoons!

    Spectacular spider-man rules!

Lemme tell you something,I have read very spider-man comic ever published, played every spider-man video game ever released, watched any spider-man film (live-action or animated) and watched all the animated series based on DC or marvel characters and I am telling you that Spectacular Spider-man is not only the best adaption of Marvel's flagship character outside of the comics (on par with "Spider-man 2") but is one of the best superhero shows in the history of TV.
