Overview

A retired spy-turned-full-time homemaker attempts to stop a power-mad supervillain from taking over the planet, and gets some unexpected help from her disagreeable twin step-children in this fourth entry of writer/director Robert Rodriguez's family-friendly adventure series. It's been a long time since former OSS agent Marissa Cortez Wilson (Jessica Alba) went chasing bad guys. These days it's hard enough just to get her precocious stepkids, Rebecca (Rowan Blanchard) and Cecil (Mason Cook), to clean their rooms, and make sure her baby daughter has a full sippy cup. And despite the fact that Marissa's husband, Wilbur (Joel McHale), earns his income chasing spies on TV, he hasn't a clue that his mild-mannered wife was once a cloak-and-dagger woman. Now the nefarious Timekeeper (Jeremy Piven) has hatched a plot for world domination, prompting the OSS to summon Marissa back to active duty. When Rebecca and Cecil discover their stepmother's tightly guarded secret, they realize they might be the only hope for getting her out of a tight jam and foiling the Timekeeper's evil plan. Fortunately Carmen (Alexa Vega) and Juni Cortez (Daryl Sabara) are more than willing to teach Rebecca and Cecil the tricks of the trade, and in no time the two bickering ten-year-olds are wielding hi-tech gadgets and heading out on their first assignment.

My kids didn't even like it. WARNING:SPOILER Jessica Alba plays a spy turned mom who is so sneaky no one in her family knows. Of course, by the end of the movie her husband and all the kids are involved, including the baby and the original Spykids are reunited. My family enjoyed the first three Spykids movies so of course we had to see the fourth. They shouldn’t have bothered making the fourth. There is too much bathroom humor including poopy diaper and vomit bag ammo. It wasn’t even funny. In fact, I didn’t think it was worth my time to review, but my older daughter said I should warn others—so my kids didn’t even like it.

Spy Kids 4 Have you ever felt like traveling back in time, to change one thing? I would like to go back in time to change how people treat other people. Would you change anything about how we live today? In the movie Spy Kids 4 the time keeper wants to see is father again because he was frozen for many years. The time keeper saw his dad die of old age. He wanted to go back to see his dad. Marissa is a spy before she had a baby then she quit the job, because she wanted the kids to be safe. Marissa has three kids. Two are not hers and one is hers. Rebecca and Cecil are not hers, spy baby is hers. Rebecca loves to play tricks on Marissa, because she does not like Marissa. Cecil is deaf so he can turn off his hearing ad, when Rebecca is talking about their step mom. Wilbur is Marissa’s husband and he never knew that she was a spy unit he made a video of his family fighting the Time Keeper. He got fired from his job. He was mad at Marissa for not telling him that she a spy. The character in the movie that I think is cool is Rebecca because she hates her step mom so bad she does tricks on her. She had a trap made and when Marissa walked out of the room she got gross stuff all over her. Rebecca was sorry but Marissa didn’t believe Rebecca. At first I thought she was not cool till she made a mistake. “When you get a bag of nuts, you don’t what kind you’re going to get.” When you watch Spy Kids 4 starring Jessica Alba as Marissa Wilson and Rowan Blanchard as Rebecca Wilson you know it’s going to be funny. The screenplay for the 2011 movie was written by Robert Rodriguez. sabrina konkol-zellner

Awful This movie has a woman 9 months pregnant fighting like a ninja and as agile as a gymnast. Her husband is clueless and useless. This is pure anti-male social engineering.
