Writer-director George Lucas's fifth entry in the Star Wars saga actually the second, chronologically speaking is by far the richest since 1980's The Empire Strikes Back. The overall production value and special effects are spectacular -- that's par for the course -- and the narrative thrust and emotional resonance far surpass that of Episode I: The Phantom Menace. Barnes & Noble - Ed Hulse
It picks up the story ten years after the action in the previous film, as Annakin Skywalker Hayden Christensen, now a Padouin apprentice to Obi-Wan Kenobi Ewan McGregor, is impatient to become a full-fledged Jedi knight and find his long-lost mother. Meanwhile, he is assigned to safeguard Senator Padme Amidala Natalie Portman, the former queen whom he has loved since he was a young boy. Separatist forces led by the sinister Count Dooku Christopher Lee threaten the peace of the galaxy, and a full-fledged war seems imminent. Lee offers strong, charismatic villainy with Dooku. It's a trait sorely missing from the previous film, and film buffs will enjoy it as a reference to the cold presence of the late Peter Cushing, Lee's former Hammer Studios costar, in the original film. For the Star Wars universe, Attack of the Clones is a stirring, powerful movie and an important turning point in the saga. It's also a major crowd-pleaser for fans of Yoda and Boba Fett alike. Among the supplemental features on the double-DVD set is a detailed commentary featuring Lucas, producer Rick McCallum, sound editor Ben Burtt, and effects supervisor Rob Cohen. The disc also affords several informative documentaries: "From Puppets to Pixels," describing the evolution of character animation; "State of the Art: The Previsualization of Episode II," including never-before-seen animation effects; and "Films Are Not Released, They Escape." There are also three behind-the-scenes featurettes, a gallery of poster art, and other incidental materials.
Barnes & Noble - Ed Hulse
Star Wars fans waited breathlessly for this concluding installment of the three-part prequel to the Luke-and-Leia story arc, knowing full well that it would end in sadness and defeat for the forces of good. And on that score, writer-director George Lucas does not disappoint: Revenge of the Sith is the film that shows Jedi knight Anakin Skywalker Hayden Christensen turning to the Dark Side and becoming Darth Vader, one of the most chilling villains ever created for the screen. The Sith's revenge also includes the defeat and destruction of the Jedi order by the evil forces of Chancellor Palpatine Ian McDiarmid, which Lucas accomplishes with visceral flourish that earns the previously PG-rated series its first PG-13 designation. Further setting the stage for A New Hope a.k.a. Star Wars Episode IV, we see the birth of twin infants Luke and Leia to Skywalker’s beloved wife, Padme Natalie Portman, and the flight of Jedi masters Obi-Wan Kenobi Ewan McGregor and Yoda voiced by Frank Oz into exile and uncertainty. No doubt about it, Revenge of the Sith is the darkest Star Wars entry of them all, a movie that definitely puts the "opera" in "space opera." Lucas, with the usual help of the series’ score composer, John Williams, presents everything on a grand emotional scale worthy of La Scala. Despite the all-pervasive air of tragedy and the snippets of dialogue that teeter on the brink between giggle- and cringe-inducing, Revenge of the Sith is nothing short of invigorating, employing every special-effects weapon in the Industrial Light and Magic arsenal. Revenge of the Sith is truly a breathtaking motion picture, certainly the best of the prequels; against considerable odds, it concludes the saga on a creative high.

    The journey begins

I loved these movies. They are so real and emotional that it is not hard for you to imagine yourself with the characters in the situations they find themselves in. Movies like these allow us to escape the real world for just a couple of hours and help us to forget our stesses in life. I know they do for me.

There are no better movies out there. Prepare yourself for beaut

There are no better movies out there. Prepare yourself for beautiful worlds, lovable characters, lightsaber duels, awesome battles, great music, and much more. These movies are Star Wars. Not the ones with the 70's teenagers running around the Death Star, but REAL Star Wars!
