Based on the wildlife photography book of the same name by Jean Stoick and Carl Sams, The Stranger in the Woods is a children's nature story which has won many awards. Carl's cousins, Laura and Robert Sams, are the brother and sister team behind this video. The story takes place inside the forest as two snowdrifts, Pierre and Janine, introduce their friends and discuss their encounters with a mysterious stranger. Along with musician Marc Stevens, Robert and Laura also composed the original music for this 40-minute video.

The creativity and humor in this short movie is very good. I share it in my Pre-K class too. The kids love it and laugh. Beautiful pictures of animals out in the wild. I will treasure this in my family for years to come.
