    HOH Be Aware

If you are Hard of Hearing or have a hearing loss be aware that this DVD does not offer captions. Usually the normal caption setup for regular TV viewing works on uncaptioned movies; however, it did not work for this DVD. The film while not on the same level as the original Lonesome Dove still presents a great cast of villians and heroes. James Garner fills Woodruf Cals shoes well with impressive acting. Deja Vu on many of the same themes as the original, with another "man-burner" and another amputation (this time in the wilderness). The subplots sometimes become trivial and overwhelming at times, but still a very throughly enjoyable film and worth the time and money spent. Great characters acted out by great actors.

    Best of Lonesome Dove Sequels

Although could replace the sheer utter brilliance of the TV miniseries Lonesome Dove, Streets of Laredo does a courageous job here. The film is hampered, though, by James Garner's weak portrayal of the dynamic Woodrow F. Call and the insistence upon his degeneration as the tough and surly Texas Ranger of years past. However, it dows an excellent job portraying evil in the pure sociopathic form of Joey Garza and the sadistic Mox Mox- both prove stupendous foils for Call and Pea Eye Parker
