Sugar & SpiceDirector: Francine McDougall
The directorial debut of Australian filmmaker Francine McDougall, this teen comedy stars Marley Shelton as Diane, captain of the Lincoln High School A-squad cheerleaders, the most popular girls in their school. They include born-again Christian Hannah (Rachel Blanchard), the rebellious Kansas (Mena Suvari), late-night talk show fan Cleo (Melissa George), and brainy geek Lucy (Sarah Marsh). When Diane learns that she's pregnant, she and her stud quarterback boyfriend Jack (James Marsden) get hitched and quickly learn that marriage with children is an expensive proposition. With some advice from Kansas' convict mom (Sean Young), the squad embarks on a plan to rob a bank, but their peppy enthusiasm and patented cheerleading moves may give them away to the authorities.

This movie was not well writen and did not have very good dialogue in it.The movie was very short and the characters were very bad too. I think that the movie would have been better if the plot and the story line were very different. This movie was so bad that it should have never been writen. Ithink that good movie are long, and keep your attention the whole entire time. Sugar and Spice did not make sense, and it could have been better, for instance making the characters have better roles and having the right people play the right roles in the movie. I would not recommened this to book to anyone thats how very bad that it is. I do not like movies that are poorly written like this one was.
I liked this movie a lot. I think it's one of the better teen spoofs out there. It's pure fluff, but it's fun fluff, and will make you laugh. Sure, it's not realistic or anything, but it doesn't take itself seriously and is never meant to be seen as realistic anyway. Let yourself enjoy it and you won't be disappointed.
Hey Sugar&Spice was a stupied movie at first but then not to long ago I saw it on T.V. And now I love it! Its really funny
Sugar and Spice was terrific. It had a great story line, it was funny and it kept you on the edge of your seat. I think it is a great movie, mostly for teenagers or young girls, but I strongly think anyone can enjoy this film. The storyline is far fetched, but hey, it's meant to be, that is what makes it so funny! The whole movie did not have one boring thing in it and it had me in hysterics almost the whole time. In conclusion, I will reccommend you see this as soon as you can becuase you will love it.
