I recall seeing this movie as an 11 year old boy who fantasized battles with an assorted collection of molded plastic soliders. The movie's battle scenes clearly depict the realization that the war in the Phillipines following the surrender at Corregidor would henceforth be waged under special considerations that required extraordinary leaders with special forces..." the guerrillas and their undying patriotism" .. As some may know, the main character in the movie ultimately became one of the first advisors and leaders that provided the vision and guidance for the creation of the US Army Special Forces..a great legacy to a great group of Americans and Filipinos! Was this review helpful?
