    TURTLE POWER!!!

i love the old ninja turtles. The new one sucks and is nowhere near as cool. It totally would be worth it to buy this. I hope more of the ORIGINAL ONES come out.

    sweet

this is one of the coolest things ever. when i saw this i had to get it. i shoped around and found it in some hole in the wall store but it was worth it. the only real down side is that the new ones cbs put out sucked it up big time, i only watched to first one and then i put it away in my colection and was done with it.

    Heroes in a Half Shell

It's great to see the old TMNT getting some attention again. The content of the first five episodes is there in all its glory but the DVD itself is mediocre. The only extras are some never before seen episodes from much later in the series and they won't make any sense to anyone who hasn't watched that far along. Still decent enough for a purchase by older TMNT fans though.

    Can't believe it

It's a good thing they the 1987 version of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on DVD now. This cartoon is way better than the 2003 version (the new TMNT cartoon). The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is one the best cartoons of the 80s and it always will be. I'm glad its on DVD.

    Good, but....

I didn't even know that this DVD was out until I randomly put 'Ninja Turtles in the search box! It was cool seeing the beginnings of the Ninja Turtes story. Although I'm 25 years old, I vaguely remember how it all began. I only really watched the first run of the series. However, I did catch a few of the episodes that were on CBS' kids block in the early to mid 90's, and, sorry to say, those 'bonus episodes didn't cut it for me. Nowhere in those episodes will you find Shredder and his gang trying to destroy the turtles. To me, that's what it was all about. I know that they have to find creative ways to appeal to the new audiences, i.e. the 10,000 different iterations of the Power Rangers. But, all in all, a pretty good compilation. I only hope they put out more episodes of the ORIGINAL series.
