This disc couples Sweden's first science fiction film Terror in the Midnight Sun with its re-edited American counterpart Invasion of the Animal People. Both films are presented full frame (standard) and have Dolby Digital 2.0 (mono) soundtracks. The print for Terror is physically in good shape though a bit dark. However, the print for Animal People, though essentially the same film, is in a lot worse shape with noticeable fading and loss of detail. The disc is fully loaded with supplemental material. The trailers for these Swedish films are included: The Cats, Love Swedish Style, Maid in Sweden, Sappho Darling, Sweden Heaven and Hell, and To Ingrid Love Lisa. There are also two bizarre, mondo-style short films included -- Lapland Reindeer Ritual and Swedish Teens Run Wild. There is also an episode of a Swedish TV show entitled 13 Demon Street hosted by Lon Chaney Jr. The black-and-white Outer Limits-style production is entitled "The Girl in the Glacier"; it runs approximately a half hour and is directed by Curt Siodmak (The Wolf Man and I Walked With a Zombie). Also included is a five-minute animated still and poster gallery for Terror with a soundtrack of songs from the film. The final supplement is a commentary track for Terror by the film's producer Bertil Jernberg. The track is very matter-of-fact -- unfortunately he is not a great storyteller. All in all a nice disc, with the supplements providing more interest than the actual feature films.
