Though brilliantly conceived and executed, Adventures of Mark Twain might have been even more effective had it been shortened by ten minutes or so.

    "Adventures" of a childhood memory

Gotta love the claymation era of the 80's for giving us this gem of a film. Not historically accurate in the slightest (Tom Sawyer, Huck Finn, and Becky Thatcher traveling with Mark Twain? As if!), but still entertaining. The detail of the sets are astounding, and the characters are fun to watch. Great for the kids and the kids-at-heart. Even better when you have a slight knowledge of Twain's writings.

Warning. It may be too deep for young kids.

This series is very "deep". I covers issues like humanity, morality, christianity. It even portrays Satan in a very different way than most people would expect. I would not let younger kids watch this less of scary images or difficult to understand. It is however an outstanding display of clay animation. A collector's item, not really something to give to your young ones.
