    Excellent!

These were some of the most clever and interesting shows geared toward young people that I have ever watched. They were equally entertaining for adults. They present history and events from the perspective of Indiana Jones as he grows up, presenting each event in such a way as to make it very real and exciting for the viewer. They are just as colorful and engaging as the the four Indiana Jones movies. I am buying them again for my neices and nephew to enjoy.

Adventures + Documentaries in one pack!

We've all see old favorite TV series become available on DVD and been disappointed with the results. Either the video quality looks cheap or the storylines are a bit too slow or something else is wrong. Well, good news to report: The folks who packaged these Adventures of Young Indiana Jones episodes have done a fantastic job. Not only have they edited the individual episodes into enjoyable movies, they have produced short (20 - 30 minute long) documentaries about key issues in each episode. Think of it as having your own DVD hyperlink to a documentary to fill out the topics mentioned in the episode. For example, for the episode in which Indy ('Junior') and his father visit a remote monastery in Greece and philosophy is a key topic, there are two documentaries on philosophy. The documentaries are in general well produced, but seem just a little lower in quality than those found on the National Geographic Channel or Discovery Channel. Still, for the price, it's a real bargain. The episodes and documentaries are captioned in English. Adult non-native speakers of English would enjoy using these materials to improve their own English as well as their world knowledge. A variety of registers are provided, with Prof Jones and Miss Seymour displaying the very formal level, and Indy using different registers, and other characters using lower registers. It's a pity that these episodes and documentaries are not available in languages other than English. Nevertheless, this DVD set provides real value for the price. Enjoy!

    It's About Time!

I am pleased to finally have this DVD collection out and to see that I am not alone. I enjoyed the show and can't wait until Santa Claus brings this present to me. Any fan should wish upon their lucky star to get this set.

    Disappointed after waiting so long...

Having watched the tv series as a boy, I have looked forward to this series being released on DVD for many years. Now that they have been, I am disappointed to see that instead of being the original series, they have been released as "made for tv movies." The movies are good, but I was so looking forward to having the actual series... The extras make up for some of the disappointment, but still, just not what I had hoped for after so long.

    I've been waiting so long!

Okay, it's not out, but honestly, I want to urge anyone who could possibly have stumbled across this to get the dvd pack as soon as it IS out! I can think of nothing on television that I looked forward to more than these episodes, all neatly packed together. It was exactly what an Indy fan would want, and now that it's coming out on DVD, it's exactly what an Indy fan must have! Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait!
