Overview

Three guys with little athletic ability strike a blow for everyone chosen last at recess in this comedy. Clark Jon Heder, Gus Rob Schneider, and Richie David Spade are three geeky guys who have spent most of their lives being humiliated by bullies and taunted by people with greater hand-eye coordination than they possess which is nearly everyone. While the three guys love baseball, they've been treated like losers on the diamond ever since their days riding the pine in youth baseball. One day they stop by a softball field at a local park and a bunch of kids practicing for tryouts try to heckle them into going home. Clark, Gus, and Richie challenge the kids to a game -- three against nine -- and miraculously don't entirely humiliate themselves. Mel Jon Lovitz, a guy with an athletically-challenged son of his own, is impressed with the nerdy trio's nerve, and offers to set up a tournament in which the three inept grown-ups will take on the best youth teams from around the state. Clark, Gus, and Richie accept the offer, and they soon become unlikely heroes to the bullied, clumsy, and awkward everywhere. The Benchwarmers also stars Craig Kilborn, Tim Meadows, Molly Sims and Reggie Jackson.

You've Got to See This Movie!

The Benchwarmers is so funny I could not stop laughing. The benchwarmers is a great movie because Devin Spade is in it, its and it has a morale. It was expected to be a very good movie. Five out of five stars. It teaches about bullies in a funny way. Because Gus apologizes to a person he bullied in his childhood. Its funny and it has a moral. It is a good movie, my parents even like it, my friends to. And probably the TV version is suitable for all ages. I think they had one huge mistake when the kids played the last game. But it is still pretty good actually it¿s amazing. Gus is very good at baseball in the movie .But they messed up when the kids played the last game. As seen earlier. But Gus does apologize to a guy he bullied. He also lets him coach. He gets very excited when a kid hits a home run. If you don¿t like this movie you must not like baseball. This movie is ultimately the best of the decade in my eyes. How about yours? This movie is good you have got to watch it today!!! This movie can compete with all the Oscar winners. It could probably beat all of them. This movie is amazing. You have to go see it today. Are you? It teaches about bullies in a funny way a very funny way. You need to go see it now. The Benchwarmers is amazing???

    Flipping Hilarious!

O my Gosh! John Heder and David Spade have to be the funniest people on the planet. The whole entire movie I was laughing, and of course I fell out of my seat. If you like stupid-funny movies (aka anything with John Heder or David Spade or Jim Carrey in it), you'll love this one. You may get laugh lines from it.

    Funny

What a cast of nerds, and very funny nerds at that. John Lovit's house in this movie is every sci fi fan's dream, and his butler is cool too. One funny film, though a bit on the crude side. Rob Schneider plays a different sort of character than usual for him but it's still good.
