This is the greatest presentation of the Bible since the showing of Ten Commandments. The work that was put into it and visual effects brings you into the scenes as if you were really there. I praise Roma Downey and Mark Burnett for their belief in God's Word. When I first heard it was being done I did not put much thought into it, but after hearing Roma was connected with I looked forward to it as I knew how great she was in Touched by an Angel. I urge everyone to get to see this excellent work on THE BIBLE. God Bless all those who spread his word. This would make a great church related program to help spread it to everyone, lets join together and make as great as the Bible. William J. Boylan Syracuse, N.Y. 13211

Fantastic series! It's great to have a "fresh" depiction of the story of The Bible, the video quality is STUNNING especially in BluRay. I highly recommend any Christian, Jew, religious studies video, or someone wanting a good story to check this out, you won't be disappointed!

Thank You History Channel for finally revealing some of the TRUTH!

This was the first time I've seen parts of the Bible done in action along with naratives. Nicely done and very detailed in some areas that were amazing to watch. Some parts as you read the Bible you picture it certain ways but watching here the actual impacts it shows adds to what we can imagine. Like Moses and the Parting of the Sea.

This miniseries is really great. It stays pretty faithful to the Bible, which is what I wanted. It really brings some of the Bible stories to life that I do not remember well and solidifies them in my memory. The casting was really good, in my opinion. I love it!

I saw this when it was on regular TV before the history channel and I saw it again then, and it does bring the BIBLE to life and makes things easier to comprehend. It was very inspirational and makes you think of things in the right perspective.

For as a person with add the narration kept me informed with what is going on. My attention never wavered by simply changing the discs out. The episodes did not drag along yet gave so much info. that I kept going on to the next  episode. I have seen many miniseries over the years which I lost interest after watching a few episodes. (On TV as well.) ALTHOUGH with the episodes being as long as they are they can be very useful  for Bible study for the appropriate age group.

This film tells the story in such a way that believers and non -believers will question exactly where they stand. And make them wonder about there faith and if they should change their views and they everyday actions.

Very Good, with some unnecessary scenes and details added (not in the real Bible). See the "Scene Index" above?  THANK YOU, Barnes and Noble for listing this.  The DVD set doesn't come with a list of episodes by disc, so you might not know that the THREE "Creation" episodes are at the end of Disc FOUR!  However, if you're not familiar with the Bible and you just want to jump into the juicy stuff, you can start with Disc One, Episode One :-)

I do thank Roma Downey and Mark Burnett for producing this series and the History Channel for airing it on TV. The actors/actresses were great and brought the stories to life. That being said, I'd have to give this series a seven (with ten being the best) in terms of Biblical accuracy. I did like the disclaimer at the beginning of each episode that said, "This is an adaptation of the Bible stories - it endeavors to stay true to the spirit of the book". If you're someone seeking a closer relationship with God through Jesus Christ, I'd recommend this series along with reading each account in your Bible as well.

This has got to be one of the poorest, and I mean poorest, videos depicting the Bible I have ever watched. What a waste of money. I really regret buying this.
