Overview

This collection of music videos and live performance clips of the great British punk band the Clash gets a respectful presentation on DVD. The Clash: The Essential Clash has been given a full-frame transfer, which reflects the original aspect ratio of the source material, while viewers have a choice of two audio tracks, one in Dolby Digital 5.1, and the other in PCM Stereo. In addition to the video clips, this disc also contains Hell W10, a rare short film directed by Clash frontman Joe Strummer, which also features the other members of the band and has never previously been commercially released; filmographies and discographies for the group and their individual members are also included.

The DVD is an absolute must. In addition to classic music videos ''Rock the Casbah'' and ''London Calling'', several live performances are included. In addition to the above, there are interviews and the Clash silent film ''HELL W10'' which features Clash music. 5+ out of 5 stars.
