Overview

The Clique is the first film in a planned series of feature-length adaptations based on author Lisi Harrison's teen novels. Massie Block (Elizabeth McLaughlin), with her glossy chestnut hair, laser-whitened smile, and amazing wardrobe, rules the social scene of exclusive Octavian Country Day School, a private girls' academy in New York's wealthy Westchester County. Massie's clique, known as the Pretty Committee, includes logo-laden expert shopper Alicia Rivera (Samantha Boscarino), diet-fad-obsessed redheaded beauty Dylan Marvil (Sophie Anna Everhard), and super-smart star athlete Kristen Gregory (Bridgit Mendler). As their undisputed alpha, Massie is set on keeping her spot at the top. But then Claire Lyons (Ellen Marlow), the new girl from Florida, shows up in a fashion don't outfit and two-year-old sneakers -- clearly not Pretty Committee material. Unfortunately for her, Claire's family is staying at the guest house on Massie's huge family estate. Having no way to avoid the clique and eager to fit in, Claire's future looks worse than a Prada knockoff. But with a little confidence and a lot of scheming, Claire just might stand a chance.

O.M.G this was The Best chick flick of the year!!!

Each character has there very own personality in a way. Its like mean girls with a twist. I absoluty loved the way that cliare was misteated but she almost never gave in. althuogh she wasn't my favorite character. because my favorite charcter was the meanest one. This film had such a huge impact that afterwards I actually started to act meanner, and got almost everything i've wanted since then.

    ?????????????

Hey Clique fans. Small question: I know that the movie has only been out for a couple days but why arn't there that many other reviews. The reason I havn't put much up ratings is cuz I havnt seen the movie yet. If the movie is as bad as the two others say should I be scared by the awful performance or suprised if it is actually good afterall. My friend watched and said was okay. Guys, it is still a movie...dont be so harsh. I think that even though its only about the first book, it is still okay.

Good movie, but would have never guessed it was The Clique

Its a really good movie if you like stuck up, inmature rich girls living their perfect lives. Which oddly, I do. In the book "the pretty committee" actually seems really cool, but in the movie they seem like a bunch of fourth graders with credit cards, but it was a good try. Could have been better, though.

    Okay

Although this was a good movie, I was kind of disappointed. Compared to the novels, my expectation for the movie was kind of a let-down. But anyways it was an okay movie.

    Deserves a Standing O

If you like the Clique books, you'll love this movie! Even if you haven't read the books, you will still enjoy this. Though it wasn't quite as good as the books =), I still give the cast and crew credit for their tremendous effort, because this movie, in my opinion, was really good. I could watch it over and over again and still not get sick of it, it's that kind of movie. I recommend this to anyone wanting to watch a good little movie with a nice storyline!

    INTERESTING PLOT-KEEPS YOUR ATTENTION

This is an interesting story of a girl who moves to
Westchester from Florida with her family. They end up living
in a guest house on the property belonging to a friend of the family.
The "princess" of the wealthy family is the self-appointed leader and
she takes an immediate dislike to the new girl. Her clique of friends
are not going to be shared with the new girl. For anyone who has ever
switched schools, met new people and ended up bewildered in a new place, you might enjoy this. The girls go through a change for the better. My only dislike is the use of the B word. I'd like to see a sequel to this
    film.

If you're a fan of the Clique Series, then you're gonna LOVE the movie. This movie is funny, emotional, and teaches you a valuble lesosn about the dangers and fun moments of being in a clique. I give this movie 5 stars!! A great movie for teens of ages 12-16. I've read all the books and I hope that they create another Clique movie!

    Ummmm.....Ok i guess

i think the movie was ok but I feel that the characters DID NOT look 12 or 11 or however old they are supposed to be at all. Also at the beginning Dylan is complaining that she cant fit in to a 4, im not sure about you but i dont know any 12 year olds who can fit into adult jeans. thats my opinion. I think the books are way better.

    The Clique Movie

In my opinion this was "just another movie". It's pretty good but Elizabeth McLaughlin wasn't very good in the beginning ; her scream sounded so fake and it was just ridiculous. Dylan is supposed to be fat. Ellen,Samantha,Vanessa, and Bridgit all did a fantastic job.<BR/>And Sophie did a good job too. I hope the other movies are better.

    Okay

The movie was as most people said, ok. They did stay true to the characters, which was imporatant, i just don't think the girls portrayed them well. The acting wasn't good, and the girls said they were all mostly inexperienced. So hopefully they'll get better over the course of the next movies. The books are amazing and Lisi rocks, but i wouldn't suggest buying the movie right away. Rent it and judge yourselves.

SPEND YOUR TREASURED, HARD-EARNED MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!

The movie was okay - but just "okay." To me, it will always be "just another movie," not really memorable. Like, I probably will forget it in a few years. But this movie is really not worth buying with your own money. Don't ask for it as a present either - you can do better. Also, the soundtrack was terrible. It's supposed to get you all excited, hyper, and want to dance, but to me it was just too girly, sweet, and wishy-washy. BTW, what's up with CHRIS?!

    It Was Good.

At first I was a little worried that the movie would be nothing like the book and they would leave a lot of things out or change them. But I found myself really liking the movie I think the people were a good choice. The acting was great. The movie was just like the book it was really good to see, I'm glad they made it. The movie wasn't as bad as the people below make it sound the beginning was a little slow but it picked up and was good. And there was no Cam because there was no Cam in the first book all the other boys didn't come until book two.

    Meh

I just watched it and its actually not as bad as the below comments. The first ten minutes or so is like "Ugh. Bad Acting," but it gets better. Overall, it's just okay. It doesn't suck, but beware: Chris is not hot at all.
