Editorial Reviews

Barnes & Noble
The Cure, led by Robert Smith, has quietly emerged as one of the most enduringly resilient bands of the post-punk era. By successfully marrying a dark, moody stage persona with a catchy blend of synth-pop, the Cure both laid the foundation for goth and managed to find the Top 40 with such hits as 1987's "Just like Heaven." This two-disc set, recorded live at Berlin's Tempodrom in November 2002, features the band playing the albums Pornography, Disintegration, and Blood Flowers on three successive nights. The nearly four hours of total footage also includes a 30-minute interview with the musicians, plus two hidden extras. Tracks are as follows:
  • One Hundred Years
  • A Short Term Effect
  • The Hanging Garden
  • Siamese Twins
  • The Figurehead
  • A Strange Day
  • Cold
  • Pornography
  • Plainsong
  • Pictures of You

    Very worthy of your time

You don't have to be a huge Cure fan to enjoy this. If you like good music with depth, this is for you. Great for low keys nights. Crack your favorite bottle and settle in for an ace concert experience.

A must have for any fan!!!

The Cure take the stage for two nights in Berlin last November to play three of their darkest albums back to back (more than three hours worth!). The band is really ON for most of the songs, and they recreate each album brilliantly, but are not limited to note-for-note reproductions--there are plenty of extra parts added. The video is crystal clear and the sound is incredible! If you are a fan of the Cure's bleaker work, this will be a captivating performance for you to watch over and over!!!
