Directed by the prolific Rob Zombie, The Devil's Rejects is a sequel of sorts to 2003's House of 1000 Corpses, and picks up several weeks after House left off. This time, the clash revolves around the tribe of violent lunatics and decidedly valueless family members of the original film, who have come to be known as the "Devil's Rejects." After learning of the extended family's horrific attacks, a SWAT team is sent to take them into custody; all but their crazed Mama escape. In addition to creating a full-fledged media circus, this sends the sociopath housemates on the run, and they initiate a deadly road trip. Meanwhile, Mama has to deal with a violent, vengeful sheriff (William Forsythe). The Devil's Rejects features Bill Moseley, Sid Haig, Sheri Moon, Michael Berryman, and Ken Foree, among other cult horror regulars. ~ Tracie Cooper

GREAT GREAT movie, i really enjoyed it. House of a 1000 corpses was more cartoon like (still great mind you) and i enjoyed it, this was just 10x better in every way. I love te fact its set in the 70's and the music is a big part of this movie following 3 killers going buck wild on a bunch of travelers "Boy the next thing that comes out your mouth better be some Mark Twain shi* because its gonng be shizzeled on your grave" is the best damn line i ever hear in my life. Otis is best out fo all over them how he runs into the hotel room with the guys face on his and then the girls runs out with her boyfriend face attached to her and get demolished by a 18 wheeler. The end was perfect, like bonnie and clyde they went out in a sea of bullets to Free Bird, classic. This movie si worth ever min i put into it, Rob Zobie really is a force singer, artist, writer, director ect thers nothing this man can do that would suck. ROCK ON
I absolutely fell in love with this movie after I saw it. This movie had everything I could possibly in a horror/action film. It's full of violence, blood, sex, language, and drinking. This film is a lot better than "House of 1000 Corpses", though that movie was really good. "The Devil's Rejects" is a must see!
If you enjoyed House of a 1000 corpes (at all) you'll the devils rejects. It darker, bloodier, and the characters are fleshed out wonderfully in this one. They've done away with the makeup and costumes and what left is gritty, raw, and all to real. If your sqeemish or eaisly offended the Devil's Rejects (or the 6 o'clock news) may not be your cup of tea. But hard core horror fans are sure to love it.
this my friends is one of the best movies ever. I must say i have never seen a more violent movie grace the movie theater screen in a while. the movie is full of amazing characters, one secound you'll be laughing your head off, then you'll be scared out of your wits and then you'll be pukeing your brains out over the extreme gore. also after you watch the movie over and over you can watch the special features. there are so many, like the forest green show (which is actually in the movie only now you see the whole show), a music video, otis's home video and more. and to top it all off you get a feature legnth (actually it's longer) in depth behind the scenes review. anway buty this movie now and remember, "i am the devil and i'm here to do the devil's work".
Well Rob Zombie did it again he started were other directors leave off and fail to include in their horror flicks. I have to say that Zombie is just getting better as he goes along. Devil's Rejects was even better than the first and how rare is that to say about a sequel. It had a good and believable storyline and the characters and dialogue were more colorful the second time around. This is a great movie to recommend for those who like their horror with some humor and great characters. I can't wait for Zombie's next movie.
First of all, it was not a few weeks after, it was almost 2 YEARS!!! Second, it was not a swat team, just the normal Ruggsville police force. Also, it was not just mama who didn't escape, it was also Rufus. the ignorant person probably didn't even see the movie.
This movie was horrible. It wasn't a scary movie, it was disgusting and grotesque, along with tasteless. It has to be one of the worst movies I ever wasted my time on seeing.
The Devil's Rejects is a pretty bloody movie, but it wasn't that violent as I thought it would be. One thing that I like about this movie is the characters. Because, rather than just knowing that the killer are just killers, this movie shows the inner of the character. The movie is also funny in a evil twisted way and it has good plot. I recommend this movie because it's bloody and outragesly funny. Oh, if you easily get disgusted, then this movie is for you.
This movie was brutally awesome! It was funny too.Soaked with blood and boiling with gore.Captain Spaulding,Baby,and Otis worked together so well.They were just regular people who had fun and acted silly.Of course, killed too.Something about their character made me want to be apart of them.There comes a time in the movie where I would think they were the good guys.They never gave up.In my eyes,they were good Hero Devils.
"House of a Thousand Corpses" was a film that has a great lighting scheme, acting and Direction. But what lacked was the story, in "The Devil's Rejects" you have everything and a classic story of evil vs. evil. Rob Zombie's direction is certain, we must love the killers and hate them. Granted, this film has shown me things that have made me sick to my stomach and have shocked me. But when a film like this is out you must expect one thing. Blood and lots of it, worthy second Volume and a hell of a soundtrack.
Once again, this, probably one of the sickest, most twisted and unpleasant films I've ever seen. From both a graphic and subliminal point of view it's a bit of a wonder how it got a rating actually. From the off-set the title lets you know what kind of film it's going to be (Rob Zombie probably thought it sounded cool). I thought that this movie had some good cinematography and a dusty washed out feel that has been done before but still lends the right atmosphere for this kind of violent horror. I don't mind violence if it is integral to the plot or if it is even scary such as in Hitchcock's Psycho. This film is neither thrilling nor scary and feels like the director had a bunch of ideas that he wanted in the movie and everything else must fit around it. The plot basically has a tense stand-off involving a Louisianan sheriff (William Forsythe) and his deputies outside a run-down, ram-shackle home where a clan of murderers dubbed 'the devil's rejects' are staking out. Following a tense stand-off and the death of a few officers, one is killed and the mother is captured. But the daughter and son continue to roam free, dodging the long arm of the law whilst also getting the chance to carry out their depraved, deadly activities on some poorer, unsuspecting victims along with the help of a twisted, ogre-some clown called Captain Spaulding. Weirdly, it's only when the end of the film draws near that you realize just what a nasty, unpleasant experience it's all been. I was left with a feeling similar to that of other films I've seen along the lines of Running Scared and the Kill Bill movies, only it didn't feel as though the excessiveness of the unpleasantness was being piled on so heavily that it became a laugh like with those films. But this goes a bit deeper than that, and it's nasty side is enjoyed so much that blood and gore isn't all it pumps on, we also have to endure some very disturbing, upsetting, even distressing scenes of human degradation, humiliation, callousness and the twisting of the loving nature of the female species that it's a struggle to think who'd find it enjoyable. It all ends up rubbing off on you the viewer in the end when the bad guys appear to be getting their comeuppance and you're loving watching the sheriff inflicting some of the torture on them that they inflicted on their victims, awakening your baser instincts and actually giving you the mind-set of the characters you hated so much in the first place. It is a nasty, blood-soaked film, just not in the way I expected it to be. But that's all it seems to be, just a non-stop bombardment of missed up unpleasantness with no real artistic value. It's not a film I'd feel comfortable watching again and it certainly didn't make me want to catch up with its predecessor, House of 1000 Corpses.
The Devil's Rejects is the sequel to the 2003 movie House of 1000 Corpses.Though the first is always the best.This movie was way better then the first.This movie has twisted things and lots of gore and it truly is one of my favorites.I love horror movies and this is truly one of them.
ok first off this movie kinda reminded me of natural born killers but bloodier. it had a cool feel to it and a good soundtrack. i think it was much better than house of 1000 corpses, made more since. and really what is with all the redneck killers and weird mountain folks in movies these days. every since hills and tcm we have been seeing alot of those type movies. house of wax wrong turn and the remakes. so if you enjoy crazy redneck movies you might find this one kinda cool.

"The Devil's Rejects" is the kind of movie uptight censors and worried parents always warned you was gonna get made some day. A movie where the leads are psychopathic murderers, the violence is excess and the gore is so voluminous, that you have to ask: "Does this movie satirize this kind of sadism... or celebrate it? Is it a fun campy parody... or a sign that we may have gone too far with our ultra-violent-based entertainment?" This movie actually defines the term "overkill." Three of the more interesting deranged killers from "House Of 1000 Corpses" get their own spin-off in the "Frasier" or "Jeffersons" tradition. The three, who are a family, actually (a father and his son and daughter) go on a mass killing spree and are racing out of the country to legal freedom on the other side of the border. They seem to echo the Manson Family. Their sense of humor is the kind of acquired taste like the movie itself has. It stems from the experience you'd get from... watching slasher movies throughout a lot of your life. Like lime green Jell-O, anchovies, fish eggs and black licorice, this is not for all tastes. The movie is actually a lot smarter and more complex than you might imagine, if you're unfamiliar with what Zombie's movies are about. It's akin to films like "From Dusk 'Til Dawn," "Vulgar," "Desperado" and "Freaked." If you like these types of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and "Friday the 13th" re-vamping in the video-geek traditions, here is a movie you may hold up as one for the history books. The dialogue is written a twisted brilliant way and the direction has a real retro-'70's homey-quality to it. In a way that doesn't feel contrived. Sid Haig, Bill Moseley and Sheri Moon are all so perfectly demented in their roles, you have to wonder what they're like in real life. You pray they're nothing like they are here... and hope you never come across anyone remotely like this either. Sheri Moon, wife of director Zombie, looks more like a typical American model-actress than the degenerate rank-skank she plays here. Moseley is real-life, was actually a columnist and Heig often played scuzzy thugs, but played the judge in Tarantino's "Jackie Brown." I find it incredibly strange that some people seem to be COMPLAINING that the pursuing cop character (the sheriff, John Quincy Wydell) is as sadistic and mentally unbalanced as the family killers themselves. Why? Yes, he is. But... why? Why is that a bad thing? In any way at all? Look, if there's anything history and government have taught us, it's that it takes one to catch one. Not just in the movies, but in life. And not just in real life, but in movies as well. You see, it's not just an opinion. It's a fact. It's the way of the world. People... do we all not remember Tommy Lee Jones in "The Fugitive"? His I-Will-Catch-him-By-Any-Means-Nessicary-Law Enforcer way was one of the true milestones in the movie, and it got him an Oscar. Would we want any of the other major characters to be far less interesting than the leads? When you eat a meal of any kind, you don't just want a rich main course and the side dishes to be as tasteless as styraphone. You want a whole meal you can taste. And the stuff with the sheriff and the rest of the cops IS something to see. Why? Because he isn't any kind of undeveloped character. Zombie made him (and everything else) just as big, broad, colorful and energetic as the '70's genre that this one stems from. There's some humor with the Kentucky-Fried Sheriff and the rest of his "Good Ol' Boys" in Blue. It goes without saying that in a small town, the cops are all red-necked.
