    The Feast of all Saints video

    If you are looking to see some top actors and some actual history then I recommend this movie . It is very long and very good from start to finish . You will learn about a piece of USA history that has not been widely known about .

    Plays by the book without melodramatics

    The Feast of All Saints is an extraordinary book. I was relunctant to watch the movie for fear of damaging my own visions of the characters. I was surprised to see a movie based on a book recreated so well. I believe the movie is even better than the book. The actors and actresses were portrayed wonderfully, and the passion was vivid. I rarely read books or watch movies twice with interest, but this is a well worth it exception. You'll never become bored with the story because there is too many people to keep up with. You are bound for an emotional ride...

    A Feast For The Eyes

    I loved this film, the look of it and all of the performers. Though I must admit I was more drawn to the adult love triangle between Phillipe(Peter Gallagher), Cecile(Gloria Reuben), and Aglae(Jenny Levine), than in the story line amongst the next generation. If the mini-series had been longer and focused more on the initial struggle, the drama that resulted with Marcel's (Robert Richard) self-discovery would have been even more powerful. Still, there are many lessons here about our society's cultural divide, its history and devastating consequences. And seeing this film is at least a reminder of how far we have come. Also, the performances of Jennifer Beals, Peter Gallagher, Gloria Reben, and Jenny Levine are right on. Would definitely recommend this film.

    excellent

    Based on History, pretty much sums up what life was like for fortunate people of color during the period. Direction was done in good taste, considering the sensitive subject matter. Actors were superb. Film should be shown to all college freshmen. I learned something new.
