    Great Kung-Fu Masters Chemistry!

I always wanted to see a movie starring Jackie Chan & Jet Li, and this movie proved to be the best film ever to team those two up. Aside from their martial prowess, they are both good actors. Their on-screen chemistry as Kung-Fu Masters teaching an American kid the way of the martial art was believable and adorable to boot. Neither one pose as the other's " sidekick," but rather they're each other's balance. Watching the explosive fight scene between two of Asia's renowned martial arts kings wasn't a disappointment. Both Jackie and Jet delivered and wowed their audience. Another memorable scene in the movie for me was when they were traversing the desert and Jackie's character whined about needing something to drink or they will perish. I won't spoil all the events, but that was one of the " classic" scenes in the film for me and sealed the balance of action, comedy and a bit of drama in it too. Hey, even my nearly 2 and a half year old nephew enjoyed watching the movie -- and he's a very picky guy when it comes to watching any action movies that doesn't involve Batman, Superman or heck, even Spiderman or anyone of the X-Men characters! So if you love kung-fu movies or any martial arts movies, then this is definitely a movie worth watching!

I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!! BEST MARTIAL ARTS MOVIE EVER!!

I took karate a couple years ago and quit because i thought it was lame. After seeing this movie, i want to keep learning. Jackie and Jet are EXCELENT in this movie. The movie is about a boy who falls into peer pressure by helping some bullies in his school rob a chinese man he knows. After the chinese man is shot, the boy goes on a journey to a world of five elements and enters the gate of no gate. He meets an immortal (called mortal in the movie) and a monk and learns that the stick he is carrying belongs to a monkey king who was trust into stone long ago by a military leader.

With awesome special effects, awestruck action, and exquisite kung fu, this movie is a must see! A million thumbs up!!! Great movie to see.

    Legends come together

This is a movie where legends come together. Not only is it the first time for Jet Li and Jackie Chan to be in a film together but it also brings the legends of the Monkey King, Drunken Master and Lady with the White Hair together as well. I was ready to see some Yokai thrown in. The action is quite intense with the only scene that looked somewhat fake being the fight between the Monkey King and Jade Army at the beginning of the film with all the wire work. The plot is some what on the weak side but coming from one that watches a lot of Japanese and Chinese films it is one of the better for fantasy martial arts. This dvd is bare bones accept for some trailers. There is a 2-disc version available.

    Great Comedy &amp Martial Arts

I watched this movie in the theatre. I was entertaining & funny. Jet Li & Jackie chan played wonderful rolls w/ the characters. Never thought Jet Li would do a comedic roll in any movie it's expected from Jackie Chan. Although, it wasn't the typical martial arts 75% of the time, it still has a good plot & overall wonderful characteristics about the film. I'm going to purchase this movie when it's released.

    A reviewer

It's a good movie on its own, but not really the Jet Li- Jackie Chan double bill you expect. Granted, you get a lot of cool in it - Jet Li reprises beig a monk and Jackie a drunken fight master, great special effcts, etc. Unfortunately, the film automatically disappoints everyone since it's not a real full-on wu xia/ kung fu movie with the great dramatic plot, etc, we've come to expect, thanks to films like Hero, Crouching Tiger, The Promise, etc. They opted to give us a family friendly romp, with the unexpected upside of Jet- Jackie's great comedic banter. Watch for when Jet pees into jackie's mouth (you'll have to see it now... :{D) Still, the story-within a story is entertaining enough and goes through all the expected feel-good martial arts cliches it's expected to go through. Good to rent, OK for kids, pleasant if not wholly satisfying.

    We loved it!

My 2 boys and I saw this in the theatres. We loved it. They can't wait to get a copy of it. I believe that the whole cast was very well picked for their characters. I would recommend this movie to anybody. It had good fight scenes, humor, and some fantasy in it. It's a great family movie.
