good history but poor production values

I showed this to my 5th grade Social Studies students. At their age, how history is packaged makes a big difference in how and what they learn, and this video didn't deliver too well on that front. All the info was there in great detail, and with interesting tangents into social history. But it was clearly a budget production. The reenactments were poorly done and looked cheesy. Older students, in upper high school, would hopefully be able to see beyond such faults. But for younger students, unfortunately, this just makes the Battle of the Spanish Armada seem boring.
