It is ashamed that this movie is not on as much. I saw it in the early 70's several times. The last time ws in 87' when I caught the tail end. I was thinking of this movie recently. I ordered it and watched it. Another movie that I havn't seen in a long time that I was thinking about was 'Hand in Hand'. I t was a British film from the early 60's. Unfortunatley it isn't available on Video. I have tracked down a copy. little did I know when I was a child 30 years ago that I would be longing for these movies 30 years later. I thought that I might get emotional over these 2 movies -but I did not. The themes of this movie are the innocence of childhood, family and Christmas traditions. It is about a more innocent time. It has a message of healing. The father has trouble coping with the death of his wife which he takes out on his daughter. I understand that there were 3 other titles in this series. I was 'Addy and the King of hearts' but I don't remember that and the other 2. I wish that Hollywood would put out more productions like this thatn the other things that they have released.
