The silly sci-fi comedy section on your DVD shelf just got bigger, thanks to the hot Ice Pirates DVD from the fine folk at Warner Bros. Presented in its widescreen debut on the home screen, the 1.85:1 anamorphic image now delivers even more Ron Perlman and Robert Urich action in your own living room. Overview

The colors are rich, if not a bit dark during frequent moments in the film. Unfortunately, you won't be able to hear the dreaded Space Herpies in anything more than a Dolby Digital mono signal, a detriment that affects the score more than anything. Extras on the disc begin and end with the theatrical trailer, which should make fans giddy in their seats as soon as it is played. So, just like the movie, the DVD is a bit bootleg -- more like that skeleton in Warner Bros.' closet that they dressed up a bit to look good, but didn't think too much of it after that. In a way, it fits the film and, most likely, the fans will understand that and just be happy to finally have it on their shelf.

    So cold it's hot...

Simply the best movie of it's kind. If you've seen it you loved it or hated it, if you hated it you are wrong. Mind blowing special effects, shakespearianesque story telling, effortless acting as only Michael D. Roberts can perform. Brain slappingly great time. A must own. Chooch.

Worst film in the history of film

This film is pure schlock! It was a complete waste of time and money. I sat through this film and said to myself,"Well, there's an hour and a half I'll never see again" and I wish to God that I didn't see this film ONCE! Do yourselves a favor, folks, and IGNORE THIS FILM LIKE THE PLAGUE!

    That's Dis-Gusting!

This movie is awesome! There are so many good lines from this movie. Excellent writing, great delivery by the actors. The special effects are indicative of the era in which it was made, but are forgivable anyway since it's more a comedy than it is a sci-fi flick.
