The Ice Pirates

( 5 )

Overview

In this undistinguished parody of the sci fi genre, Robert Urich is Jason who leads a band of pirates in redistributing the wealth of the few to the coffers of the needy. He also joins up with Princess Karina Mary Crosby in searching for her father and a possible source of water in the next galaxy. Meant to be a campy romp through the sci fi genre, the film stops short of achieving a goal that should have been effortless.

    So cold it's hot...

Simply the best movie of it's kind. If you've seen it you loved it or hated it, if you hated it you are wrong. Mind blowing special effects, shakespearianesque story telling, effortless acting as only Michael D. Roberts can perform. Brain slappingly great time. A must own. Chooch.

Worst film in the history of film

This film is pure schlock! It was a complete waste of time and money. I sat through this film and said to myself,"Well, there's an hour and a half I'll never see again" and I wish to God that I didn't see this film ONCE! Do yourselves a favor, folks, and IGNORE THIS FILM LIKE THE PLAGUE!

    That's Dis-Gusting!

This movie is awesome! There are so many good lines from this movie. Excellent writing, great delivery by the actors. The special effects are indicative of the era in which it was made, but are forgivable anyway since it's more a comedy than it is a sci-fi flick.
