another Pixar masterpiece

When a movie is great because of the attention to detail, i'm impressed but when a cartoon creation is great because of the detail, i'm blown away. just think - the pixar team actually has a crew of people entirely dedicated to making HAIR seem real! and that's just one example! I've seen and loved all of the pixar movies - this is no exception. the story line is awesome, the casting is perfect... However - now that i'm a parent, i watch movies through different eyes and this is the only pixar movie that i have a problem with. Couldn't they have thought of a different reason for Mr. Incredible to save the man falling from the building... maybe he was a window washer who fell, i don't know... but how am i going to explain to a toddler what suicide is?! And Jack-Jack bursts into flames and then turns into a little demon?! My daughter watched the short movie 'Jack-Jack attack&quot and started laughing at the &quot baby hot&quot part, then walked her dolly over to the fireplace and pointed and said &quot baby hot? &quot as if asking if she could through her doll into the fire! I think those were poor choices on the part of the creators. there were ways to deal with both of those issues and still make them kid-friendly AND adult friendly. I'm still a big fan of this movie and my daughter LOVES it, so we watch it often - i'm just disappointed in those poor choices of content. I still give this 5* because it really is an awesome movie...

Screams sequel

Takes a long time to get rolling but it's a blast. I didn't think Craig T Nelson would work but he did a great job, his voice fits the main character well. I could see this seriously turn into a series, but who knows with Pixar. The main characters are very similar to the Fantastic 4 in several ways. Fun for superhero fans.

I love this movie.

This is probably one of the best Pixar movies in my opinon. It was funny, it had a lot of action, a bit of romance, it was just a great mixture of everything. At first when I was going to see it wasn't all that excitied, I was supposed to watch the Spongebob Squarepants movie but we were late so we went ot see the Incredibles first. I wasn't happy walking into the movie theather but I was very happy when coming out. It's a great film for the whole family and I never get bored watching.

This film has to be the best Disney film I have ever seen.

Okay, but not as good as Toy Story or A Bugs Life or Monsters Inc. or Toy Story 2 or Finding Nemo...

I rented this movie hoping it would be as good as the other Pixar movies. I LOVE Pixar movies (especially Toy Story 1 and 2) and was really excited about watching this. However, this movie was nothing what I expected. Though there were a lot of funny parts, the plot line was so confusing, and I got lost in a lot of places. In several scenes, I thought the action just got a little too violent (a robot crashes through a city, Mr. Incredibles threatens to crush a woman, etc.). In one scene, a man jumps off a building and attempts to suicide, but Mr. Incredibles saves him. Even though there were a lot of cute, original, funny lines/quotes that Pixar threw in ("Sometimes I feel like a maid I just cleaned up this mess! Can't we keep it clean for just a few minutes?"). But, the jokes just weren't as comical and classic as the jokes on Monsters Inc. and Toy Story. There were also several imitative behavior kids may try to imitate. Dash puts a tack on his teacher's seat. Characters hit and punch each other frequently (normal for a superhero movie, but hey! Would you want your kids going around hitting and punching each other?). And, as I said above, a man attempts to commit suicide by leaping off a building. Several phrases including "Idiot" and "Sly dog" are used several times as well. Though it sounds like I'm being nitpicky, I'm just simply pulling out the things you probably would be most concerned about with your children viewing. Some parts were very boring and confusing... I still admit, I love Toy Story 1 and 2 SO much better!!! If your kids are pre-teens/teens, then they should love this movie and/or be comfortable with the content. But if you have younger kids, skip this movie and watch Finding Nemo.

Pixar's Best

I've been watching this one since it came out and I see something new each time I watch it. It's very creative. The only animated film that could compare is Finding Nemo. Great film, highly recommened!

Funnest movie ever

The incredibles is a awsome.I saw Incredibles at the hair cutting place. I had gone to get my hair cut with my aunt and when we got there the incredibles was on. I started watching the movie and it was really funny and interesting. The movie was so interesting that I didn't want to get a hair cut,I wanted to watch the movie. When the Incredibles first came out I thought it was for little kids so I didn't watch it. After my hair cut I went to WAL-MARTS and bought the movie. I watched the movie with my whole family. They all loved the movie even my mom. She couldn't stop talking about the action scenes and the cartoons. You can watch incredibles with your whole family. It doesn't have scenes that kids can't watch. So go buy this movie and watch it with your familt. I promise you will all like the movie even your parents will.

Fantastic Movie!!

This movie was one of the best and most exciting movie I have seen in a long time. This movie is definitely action packed and a great way to spend time with family and friends. The Incredibles were absolutely incredible. I thought that some of the parts were kind of violent, but those were also the best parts. The story line in this film was very creative, especially in the setting and in the plot as well. It starts with some interviews of the main characters of the movie, which were the super heros, specifically Mr.Incredible, real name, Bob Par. Then from there on the film shows us how they got banned at being a super hero and finding their ways back to their glory days not knowing about what is already in front of them. I definitely recommend this movie to every family that loves action, suspense, drama, gut-busters. This movie has taught me the value of friendship, companionship, and how to be a family. I think that people can get some serious life learning lessons from the Incredibles movie. I know I have! I believe that this movie is one of the most exciting, heart-pumping, hilarious, heart-warming works from Pixar. Good job and keep up the good work Pixar, wonderful production. I can absolutely say that this movie was INCREDIBLE!!

An Outstanding Animated Feature!

Witty and fast-paced, The Incredibles is one of those movies that sucessfully caters to all ages by cleverly utilizing humor that appeals to adults on one level and children on another altogether. While very young children may not follow the plot completely, I would hardly call this film inappropriate, nor is it any more violent than any animated feature your children might view on network TV. Only the very prudish will find fault in it's content. A great film from Pixar, a company that could often be accused of making less-than-wonderful movies in the interest of separating the consumer from his hard-earned dollar. This film is certainly NOT one of those.

AWESOME! GREAT FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY

To be honest, I was never a "cartoon" person even as a child. However, I bought "The Incredibles" for my granddaughter and ended up watching it with her. After that, I purchased my own copy and have watched it several times. The animation special effects, and "plot" are second to none. I am hoping that they will come out with another "Incredibles" Movie!

Meh...

I watched the Incredibles with my 8-year old nephew. He seemed to like it a lot, but I wasn't impressed with all the violence in the movie! There were parts where a man trys to commit suicide, sly references to swear words, and other things that my nephew asked me about, which I don't think are appropriate. How can you tell an 8-year old that someone hated their life and tried to end it? Or that BS didn't stand for Baby Sitter, but ...... bs. And there were so many guns and bombs and fires and it was violent! Quite a ways' from Pixar's Finding Nemo. It's an alright movie, but for a different age group than intended. My children are 14 and 16, and they loved it and thought it was the greatest animated movie ever. I beg to differ.

This is the worst movie of all time!!!!!!

This movie is unfunny, and stupid. I can't believe I wasted money to see this trahy piece of junk. It is by far the worst movie of all time. Don't waste any part of you life seeing this horrible movie

Really Incredible!

At first I though it would be one of those ordinary superhero movie where of course there's the obvious badguy and the hero that always saves the day. However, this wasn't that kind of movie. You really can't judge this movie because it's a cartoon. Even though each of this "incredible" family has a different power than the other, they were forbidded to use them. The rest, you'll just have to find out. To keep this short, this movie has a good storyline with humorous parts that you will enjoy! It brings up the kind of conflict normal humans and superheros would have. It really makes lots of sense. It's a great family! I REALLY RECOMMEND YOU TO SEE IT!!

The coolest movie!!!

I loved this movie!!! It had me laughing a lot! I think the coolest character is dash because he is really funny and it would be great to have his powers. I could take something without getting caught!!But in some parts it reminds me of spiderman 2 because of the robots. other than that, this was a good movie.

An "Incredible" Film for All Ages!

I loved The Incredibles. It was so much better than I thought it would be. The characters were great. Even though the Parr Family had super powers they were your typical everyday folks and you could relate to their everyday experiences. I especially like Violet, the shy, misunderstood, daughter of Mr. Incredible. Her super powers allow her to turn invisible and create force fields at will. I like her clever mind and find her to be a very endearing and lovable character. I also think the story was fun. It might have had your typical “we must save the world,” scenario but the movie had class and its scenes were unique and funny. I saw this movie three times and enjoyed every minute of the adventures the Incredibles had. If you like action-filled and animation comedies than this would be an “incredible” Pixar film for you to see!

Excellent Movie is Almost Ruined by DVD Extra

The movie is great. Unfortunately they should have left of the DVD extras off the disc. There's an extra called "Vollet" with some annoying skank prattling on about who knows what?It's some kind of irritating video blog. Now when I watch the movie I see her face...yeechh! Almost ruins the movie for me.So if you buy "Incredibles" DO NOT watch teh extra called "Vollet".

Great movie

This movie is the coolest CGI cartoon I've ever seen. Need I say more?

A good movie but . . . .

It's incredible to think that the people who make these fabulous movies would not give any thought as to putting an attempted suicide in a childrens movie. Of course the movie is good but I could'nt get past the small part in the beginning of the movie where a character tries to attempt suicide by jumping off a building. His plan is foiled when one of the Incredibles saves him soon after he jumps. He later sues the city because of the attempt of saving him. I kept thinking great now I'm going to have to explain to my 10 year old what suicide means. By putting this in a childrens' movie they are making light of the subject. Was it really necesary to even go there?

This movie was excellent

I thought this movie was great. I was funny for both kids and adults. There is never a boring part in it. Great fun for Everyone
