Anyone who's reading this review has probably watched many of the other Lynley Series. I can say with out a doubt, that the series was good to the very end. I highly recommend it be viewed in order. The characters, Thomas Lynley and Barbara Havers develop a strong working relationship but also an undeniable personal platonic relationship. They are there for each other in the worst of times. It wasn't always like that though. To watch the growth as they solve the crimes made me eager to continue to the next installment. Both characters learned from each other. Thomas learns to depend on Barbara's feminine intuition but also her down to earth mentality. Barbara learns to trust authority and also to see people as people no matter the class. They continued on, roughly at first but with time very smoothly as they learn how each other thinks. It was so interesting watching the development. Every episode was worth watching. The actors were great in their roles, very believable. Both played tough cops who were sympathetic and unsympathetic at the same time. That's hard to pull off. I'm sad it's over but I never regretted watching it. I highly recommend the series.
