Editorial Reviews

All Movie Guide
Clearly a labor of love by Lance Henriksen, who championed the script from the start, this low-budget thriller aspires to be something that most thrillers don't -- thoughtful. Ideas and philosophies abound in the conversations as Roland Levy describes his life-altering epiphany, and the very nature of humanity is questioned. It's kind of like My Dinner With Andre except with toxins in the meal. The dialogue is occasionally fascinating, but what's missing is menace: Roland, sane and sober, is such a friendly, compassionate guy that you know he'd never let something happen to his friends. (Which is not to say he doesn't kill a few of them, just to prove he's serious.) In the end, the thriller aspects have been replaced by melodrama, and anyone coming to the party looking for horror and shock will be disappointed. But those with an appetite for something smarter will find it painlessly amusing. Indeed, the entire piece might work better as a theatrical play.

    Deep, Insightful.

Stick with this movie and LISTEN. Roland has a special 'gift' for his friends, and they'll walk away more serene, wise, appreciative of themselves and life. You will too. Beautuful background music and settings, as well!

    Insightful. Thought-Provoking.

This movie, has many lessons on many levels. There are several very deep, beautiful, soulful 'truths' revealed as well. The film left me with a serene, calm, released, and wiser frame of mind, than before I watched it.
