    Cusack vs The Law

One of the best roles played by John Cusack and personally, certainly one of the best for Rodney A Grant who plays his Crow partner in this movie. This movie holds us in the balance between the victim and the villain and how the law was not developed enough to undertake Cusacks problem at that time. So he arms himself with the little knowledge that he knows of an underdeveloped law, and being a just person himself, he tries to use that law to bring about an end to a means. Goodman plays the Judge who passes judgement on Cusack and who clearly is frustrated that he can only work within the law knowing all to well that it does not accommodate Cusacks case. Box of tissues needed for the end. It certainly is a worthwhile watch. It was made for HBO Films and I thought strong enough to have been a major release. The Film also shocked me in a way that it portrays abuse to Native Americans and animals was taken so lightly. Cusack brings about a new Law to change this. If you are looking for entertainment this is a film which leaves you thinking about how the Law seems to be on the side of the villain and how the victim looses. Something that still hears an echo today. This is a serious film based upon historical events. I think it may have been written by John Cusacks brother or a family member. Anyone out there who may know the answer to this, I would be interested to hear.
