    One of the Best Ever!

British drama at its best! The movie weaves through history and stiff upper-lipped British humor that is hilarious and moving at the same time. No frills, no fancy stuff, just the story delivered in perfection, The King's Speech is a 'must watch'. The actors are all impeccable and direction is simply beautiful.

How movies should be made - one of the few I have ever rated five stars

The cast is stellar, and the acting is superb, with some of Britain's finest thespians represented here. You can feel King George's frustration and anguish throughout this masterfully-crafted film. The moment I started watching it, I knew it was the best picture of the year, I love history, and this is a timeless story of power being thrust upon someone who felt ill-equipped to meet the task. Colin Firth acts through subtle mannerisms, and as always, delivers a wonderful performance. Geoffrey Rush should have received the Supporting Actor Oscar, since his portrayal was wonderfully poignant and exciting to watch. The background scenes are wonderful to enjoy and add the finishing touches to an intelligent, refined and profound film about how we all have something to overcome, and we should all be so fortunate as to have a true and caring friend as "Bertie" had. THIS is how movies should look and sound. Incredible!

A must see! Should have taken more awards.

This movie takes you into King George's life of pain so completely. The work he must do is amazing to let his voice be heard and run his country. An inspirational film with strong love and dedication, friendship that we all pray to have. A must see movie. You get lost in the characters completely. Should have won more awards...

    I Also Recommend:

    Outstanding!

At first look, certain people might think this film to be kind of boring, but really it isn't. Speaking from a film watcher who isn't always that keen on too awful many dramas, I actually enjoyed this one. I also rather like stuff with historical background too, based on true stories, like this one is. I really like the majority of these actors too, and they all did a superb job at their roles. If you want to watch a rather good drama based on true events, this is a really good one. I recommend checking it out. Listed in this are other dramas I have seen that I really like.

    Highly Recommended

This movie is fantastic. Saw it in the theatre after the Oscars. Even after several months, at the end of the movie, people were spontaneously clapping. It deserved every award it received. The actors were outstanding. I will definitely be adding this to my movie collection.
