The Laws of Attraction is the belief in using positive thinking to draw to oneself the things one wants -- an idea that also drives the thinking behind The Secret. Wife-and-husband team Esther and Jerry Hicks were, in fact, involved with that phenomenon early on; but pulled out of it after an amicable business disagreement. For years, the couple has represented, within the corporeal world, the interests of the spiritual entity known to them and their followers as Abraham. Esther Hicks channels Abraham and collaborates with Jerry in putting the teachings of this "non-physical entity" into print, audio, and now DVD. The titular Laws are at the center of Abraham's teachings and, in this first episode of a projected Laws of Attraction in Action series, the producers delve into various real-life scenarios and Abraham explains how The Law applies. Situations explored include: how to get over one's anger with a parent or child; getting through chronic depression; the effects of certain words on your health; loving the tough-to-love; and misperceptions of time.     Better then the Secret

    Ester and Jerry Hicks have been talking about positive thinking long before Rhonda Byrne skyrocketed to popularity with "The Secret." The only difference between the two is that Ester and Jerry don't believe the people in the world trade center died because they were all thinking negetively. If Oprah was smart she would have had Jerry and Ester Hicks on her show instead of Rhonda Byrne.

    A Wonderful Experience Shared

    I just received this 3 DVD set in the mail and watched all three DVDs in one sitting. You will hardly notice the time spent while watching this. The kind, humorous and loving way that Abraham communicates is so beautiful that you cannot help but experience the joy of the process and feel joy for those who are receiving the wisdom that is offered in answer to their questions. You can see the joy. The change in their countenance and their tears. It is a most moving and enlightening experience. If you have ever attended a seminar, you will be pleased to have this to view over and over again. If you have not yet had the chance, rest assured that NOTHING is lost in the translation. Definitely a very worth while purchase. More please!
