This IS the real 1969 Johnny Whitaker movie

Unlike the first reviewer from several years ago stated-- this IS the 1969 Johnny Whitaker Littlest Angel movie. I decided to take a chance after reading everything I could on the B&amp N site abt it--but becuz of the first reviewer I wasn't sure I would get the real thing. I did. I remember as a child how much I loved Johnny Whitaker. This movie really takes u back. It's highly doubtful though that anyone who wasn't a baby boomer would like this due to the lack of technology back in 1969 compared to 2008. But for babyboomers, it is a walk down memory lane.

    Thank you so much!

I was just about to purchase this dvd when something told me to "dig a little deeper". That's when I came across your review. I am soooo happy that I didn't purchase. I, too, want the Johnny Whittaker version and this ad is very misleading! Shame on Barnes and Noble. If you can't get the real thing, then at least take this off your site!

NOT the 1969 Johnny Whitaker made for TV version

I purchased this after searching for years for the made for tv, 1969 version starring the adorable in the part, Johnny Whitaker. What a disappointment to recieve an animated version. (Which by the way has a 1997 date on it!) I had wondered based on the front cover, but other videos have been packaged worse. I did not keep this video and am returning in in hopes of someday finding the real thing. Why would I want an animated version when real actors are so much more interesting and make the story, a heart felt one at that, so much more so. I sure hope someone at Barnes and Noble takes a good look at the way this video is catalogued and notes it as animated and not the Johhny Whitaker version, but as the story or completely takes it off his search. I am so disappointed! This feels like bait and switch.
