Teen star Hilary Duff brings her popular television character Lizzie Maguire to the big screen, and now (very quickly) to DVD. Unquestionably the high point of this disc is the transfer, which is presented in both anamorphic 2.35:1 widescreen and cropped pan-and-scan. A wonderful job has been done here with the original film elements, as colors are perfectly realized, while blacks are solid and show no sign of breakdown. The detail is equally good, especially in presenting the beautiful city of Rome. The 5.1 Dolby Digital track is certainly predictable. The surrounds aren't developed in any significant way, but for a small teen romantic comedy, it still sounds full and recreates the existing sound field as it should. Supplements are relatively weak, with a 11-minute PR featurette on the making of the film as the centerpiece. Also included are the music video for "Hey Now" by Duff and a promotional piece hyping her new album. Amounting to little is a music video for the remake of "Volare," which consists solely of the scene in the film. Finally, along with some home video previews for the likes of Sleeping Beauty and The Lion King are two deleted scenes and an alternate ending, with option introductions from director Jim Fall.

the show is really cool but the movie is really good Etahn Craft still very very cute and oh the very ending when Lizze and Gordo finally kiss the ending is the best i know alot people did'nt care much for thid movie but thats there problem not mine i liked it the dvd gives u a choice whether u wanna watch it in widesreen or fullframe i myself perfer the fullframe also there's the Hilary Duff Why Not video nice movie just to bad Miranda Lanny and Larry Tudgemen weren't on the movie oh well atleast i get to see Clayton Snyder as Ethan Craft oh he is soooo cute!
it was a very carefree movie for tweens, tho if you have an older sibling they WON'T reccomend it- they think its too childish, although i think deep down they really enjoyed it. i went with a cousin to see it [my cousin is 16] and she still liked it just as much as i did [i'm 11]. though i thinnk its a bit unappropriate for little children for there is quite a bit of midriff showing on Hilary Duff's part. i give it ********** stars!!!
This movie is horrible because they address the problem ten minutes before it ends. I would have also seem more of Lizzie and Gordo together since that's what people always talk about when they mention the show. This was a BIG let down.
every body should go and she the movie its great for all ages.thats my favoret movie I erver seen.hillary duff did very good acting.youshould see it!
I LOVE this movie. It's so cool and it's just the best movie I that I ever saw. I like the Lizzie shows so when I found out that this movie was going to come out, I knew I would just love it. I can't wait till it comes out on DVD because I am so going to buy it on the day it comes out!!!
This is a movie you should watch. Hilary Duff is irresistible! Its really cool and the kids will love it!
I am not a teenager, but I thoroughly enjoyed this movie! It took me back to the innocence and dreaminess of thise years. Don't be embarrassed to check it out.
It was the best movie ever Hillary had ever done. It was sad that Miranda wasnt it becuase in the epsiodes she is not there they say she is in Vacation or shes in in Mexico
I really liked the movie. I thought this movie was great and since I'm a Lizzie fan,I rate this movie four stars.
in the movie lizzie the well known character in the tv series meets paolo the cute hearthrob but should she leave gordo behind no way i would say he's too cute in the end gordoand lizzie kiss!
I loved this movie!!!!! I could see it again and again. The music was awesome too. You have got to see this movie, if you haven't already.
Great songs, great scenes, great actresses, great actors. Totally rent this movie. I saw it the weekend it got released in theatres. Rent it. You won't regret!!! A+
I loved this movie alot I love hilary duff she is my insprastion and role model thats why i loved the movie
My daughter and I saw this movie together because we both love the series and we were not disappointed. It was a cute, funny, and touching movie. It definatly shows girls that they can do anything (with a little help from their friends and family). All girls will be uplifted by this movie. We LOVED it and can't wait to add it to our collection.
I actually like the Lizzie McGuire shows, so when I saw this movie I was very disappointed. First of all where is Miranda? It would have been better with Lizzie's best friend. The story was predictable and unbelievable. I mean who exactly has someone that looks just like them and just happens to be a pop star?! I found it very disappointing when Lizzie didn't believe her best friend and instead trusted a boy she had only known for a week at the most. I was happy when she finally trusted her best friend instead of that guy. The only good thing about this movie is when she sings at the end.
i just love Lizzie she is cool and it is lovely to see i just can't wait to see it on dvd.
I have nothing against Hilary Duff personally; she's a great actress, but I can't stand the character Lizzie! She's such a whiny, ditzy little b*%(# who's too dense to see what a perfect life she has! She's gorgeous and has great friends, a great family, EVERYTHING! And yet she in the trailer she says ''Nothing ever seems to go my way''! Does that make sense?! So she's kinda unpopular at school and gets bullied by snobs, BOO-HOO! ''Doesn't she have anything better to do than make my life miserable?!'' Er, hello! With the way she treats Matt, she should be able to take care of Kate! What, is she a just a big chicken or something?! Why is popularity so important!? Kate's like, the only bad thing in Lizzie's life! Doesn't she know how to appreciate what she has!? Instead she focuses on what she DOESN'T have! Why would she wish to become famous (or something of the sort)?! If I were her, I wouldn't have a wish to make in that fountain thingy. Anyone without a brain should be able to see what a perfect life she has, goddang it! What a bimbo. All she does is WHINE! And she's so superficial. She is the complete opposite of a role model. The movie Holes, on the other hand, teaches the values of friendship, hard work, persistance, determination, etc. and shows how the main character goes from wimpy and timid to strong, confident and assertive. Now that's a role model for you. The character development shows that anyone who feels weak or inferior could really achieve a lot if they toughen up. And yet the horrible Lizzie McGuire Movie gets like twenty times more credit from what I've seen! The plot of Holes is very inventive and facinating and keeps you thinking, and has a great message, not to mention the most lovable characters you could imagine. The plot of Lizzie Mcguire is totally cornball! It sounds like a completely unrealistic fairy tale like Cinderella or something! One commercial for it says cheesy stuff like ''find out what dreams are made of'' or something like that. How often has THAT line been used in those corny, tear-jerking Diseny movies?! Holes is a crazy-good movie but sadly underappreciated while the Lizzie Mcguire Movie gets all the credit it doesn't deserve. I ask you, is that fair? What IS it with Disney these days!? Parents, keep your kids AWAY from Lizzie McGuire! It's the most deranged TV show/movie ever.
Hilary Duff ''falls'' into the part of teenage Lizzie McGuire, and shines. As Lizzie embarks on her journey with her friends to Rome, the clumbsy , girl from next door, is mistaken for international pop star Isabella from the duo ''Paulo and Isabella''. Lizzie has fun for a while but then when she is forced to choose between her life or Isabella's. What should she do?
I like the Lizzie McGuire show but the movie made me mad!!!! Lizzie is always saying stuff like ' nothing special ever happens to me'. Well gee, in one episode she met Aaron Carter & in another she dated Frankie Muinez. If she can't realize how perfect her life is then she has BIG problems.
i love this movie my brother doesn't.I'm a huge fan of lizzie mcgurie i watch every day.my favorite charter is gordo is is so fine.i meet him and the cast once it was so fun and i got there autograps.i like this movie because it is funny and i love the songs.my favorite part in the movie is when lizzie performs, when lizzie went to thank gordo for covering for her the first day,and when lizzie kisses gordo.just because i'm black does mean i can't like lizze mcguire.
awesome very clever and if you love the tv series you'll love the movie 10x more trust me i'm a hilary duff fanatic
