Everyone has grown up in environments of family challenge, coping with illness or a disability of a family member. We all have memories of one period of time where Aunts, Uncles and cousins come together for a reunion that families share memories for years. Here are all the issues of family, enhanced as the decedents of Victoria and Albert, Four Countries three rulers and there families coming together for one last summer reunion. The Royal family and their personal lives wrapped with The coming of World War I and the murder of the entire Romanov family.

This movie really portrays what it's like to have LD, especially since I have it and can relate perfectly. It is a historical movie as well, telling of what happened just before/at the beginning of WWI. I love history, as well. The places where it was filmed are beautiful, and it has become one of my most cherished DVD's. Maybe it's because I'm 16, but I think it's great for the whole family, and not just because it's supposedly 'educational'. It's a great movie. You should REALLY buy it! ^_^

I found this movie by chance, and have wanted a copy for myself for the longest time. The view of the first World War from the Royal Family's perspective in interesting, and adding to it a whole secret world that was Johnnie's life is beautiful and sad all at once. The costumes are stunning, the cast indescribable. it's a wonderful depiction of a world we otherwise would'nt ever know about.
