Editorial Reviews

All Movie Guide
Chuck Connors stars as a seething explosives expert who plans to detonate several Los Angeles buildings to avenge the drug overdose death of his daughter. Vince Edwards co-stars as the hotheaded cop on his trail, who catches a break when pornography-loving serial rapist Neville Brand witnesses Connors planting one of his bombs while he is assaulting a nurse in a hospital basement. Edwards plants a trap for Brand, hoping that his confession will ultimately bring down Connors before the bomber brings down more buildings. As a police thriller, this grim and tawdry programmer from former '50s sci-fi multi-hyphenate Bert I. Gordon (The Amazing Colossal Man) is a bust, but remains recommendable to drive-in and grindhouse aficionados largely on the merits of its trio of leads, who deliver performances that border dangerously on hysterical. After appearing in this film, Connors and Brand would enjoy a second career in exploitation films such as Eaten Alive and the far superior Tourist Trap. Curious viewers should know that many of the numerous sell-through video presentations of this title are missing several scenes of sex and violence.
