Overview

Randall Wallace's action film The Man in the Iron Mask comes to DVD with a choice of images. The widescreen anamorphic transfer preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1 and is preferable to the standard full-frame transfer. A closed-captioned English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1, while a French soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital Surround. English, Spanish, and French subtitles are accessible. In addition to a director's commentary track, the disc contains the theatrical trailer, alternate versions of the titular mask, and a collectible booklet. This is a very good disc, made all the more appealing thanks to its inexpensive list price.

This was a very outstanding movie and would deserve 5 stars if the ending wasnt so confusing. the cast was outstanding and did a magnificent job playing their roles in the 1860s.

If you want to escape from reality, this movie is the way to go! The actors play their roles beautifully. An overall great story and well performed. I especially love Gabriel Byrne in this movie.

I am a big fan of Leonardo DiCaprio and I have watched many of his movies. This does not disappoint. I did not read the book but i thought this movie was great! All the characters were very believable! Everything you would want in a period piece is here. I will be very excited to add this to my collection!

I cant say that if you are a book enutist that you will love this moive. Nothing like it realy. Overal its enjoyable to watch and does a decent job with Dumas's sence of humor. Athos has way differnt way of life in the book though. The ending is happier than in the book though still not a Disney movie.

If you want Man in the Iron Mask, read the book! The people who made this movie COMPLETELY changed and warped the characters, the plot, and the ending!!! I can't believe they even called it Man in the Iron mask! The saddest part is that they did this to a dead guy's book, because if they did that to a book whose auther was still alive, he would have been outraged at the way they distroyed such an intricate and powerful plot and altogether changed the entire book!!!
