Overview

You'll laugh, but you won't know why! Howard (Julian Barratt) and Vince (Noel Fielding), two workers in a run-down zoo, are often called upon to put their jobs before their pride. That means dressing up as animals and sitting in cages because their boss, American entrepreneur Bob Fossil (Rich Fulcher), can't afford any real animals. Vince accepts the situation happily, quite in contrast to his grandiose, tweed-wearing colleague. But their jobs involve much more than just dressing up. From battling mutant animals engineered in a secret laboratory underneath the zoo, to fighting a kangaroo to raise money for their dilapidated workplace, Howard and Vince always find themselves at the center of some very strange events. Includes all 8 episodes from the first season that originally aired on BBC3 in 2004, plus commentary, featurettes, outtakes, and more.

For those who have only seen Old Greg on YouTube, this may not be the show for you. who knows! This may just be a show for those who have a penchant for curiosities and oddities. This may just be a show for Anglophiles who only love British tv because they don't understand all of the jokes, and they think "Hey, I'm smart and I don't get all of this so this show is brilliant!!" This may just be a show for twenty somethings to cackle over and recite like Shakespeare on a bright night drinking in Texas. This may just be the best show ever. For me, it wrestled out Spaced and Tim & Eric for the top spot in my favorite tv shows of all time. Might Boosh Season 1 is just brilliant...just brilliant. It is more dialogue driven, quick subtle jokes are tossed back and forth between Howard and Vince, you just have to be a bit quick to catch them (you'll want to watch the same episodes over again anyway) Just like any form of good art, the reason it was created was because words are not enough to describe it. But given this chance, I'd say it is oxymoronic dadaist journal dreams of two lovely children who had the misfortune of growing up...but thankfully they brought their world out to share.
