The Moody Blues: A Night at Red Rocks with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra

( 4 )

Overview

The famous Red Rocks venue plays host to The Moody Blues on this DVD that offers a standard full-frame transfer. The English soundtrack does a fine job of capturing the music. There are no supplemental materials of any consequence, making it quite difficult to recommend this disc to anyone who is not already a fan of the band. Some of the songs performed include "Nights in White Satin," "Days of Future Past," and "Tuesday Afternoon."

    I Also Recommend:

Outstanding DVD with great sounds, setting and nearly all their hits

Professionally done in an exceptional setting with equal acoustics/sounds. Will be watching this one over and over again. Some music videos have been disappointing, not this one. You can never go back, but this one effectively takes you back to the Moody Blues when they first came on the scene.

    A 25 Year Retrospective

This is a fine collection of songs that is very well performed and engineered. The only disappointment is that the DVD ONLY has 17 songs on it. The band had, by this time, released over a dozen albums and there is no way to cover such an expansive body of work without leaving out an immense amount of material.
