The disc opens automatically to a multi-layered menu that's very easy to maneuver around.

    A great sci-fi movie

The Mysterians in a great example of Toho's sci-fi work. I believe it was the first in that genre that Toho produced in color, and features a sensational soundtrack by Akira Ifukube. The film shows its age with some occasional problems like small and excessive speckles on the screen, but it's not a big deal. There's several extras of note such as the original trailer, an audio commentary, a photo gallery, and a music-only audio track. The Japanese audio tracks are featured in both original mono and 5.1, and a Spanish track is included. The English 5.1 track is not the one from the film's original US release, but rather a new one recorded using modern anime voice actors. I personally recommend the Japanese 5.1 track.
