Children of all ages will enjoy!

My daughter loved this movie when she was little. She watched it over and over again. I bought the DVD for sentimental reasons. I watch it once in a while for fun!

Oh the 80's, Pippi's Teenage years

In Ingrid Langrid's book's Pippy is not a teenager, she is a tiny little girl. Pippy Langstrom's character has been universalized in every form, in every country "She is infact sweedish born". She is the ultimate little girl HERO, who can lift heavy weights, pull lemonade out of a tree, be rich with gold, yet live care free. And yes... this movie put poor Pippy in a cheap retro movie from the 80's and had her go through the awkward stages of her pre teens "new adventures". Still, It happens to all of us. See the earlier movie "1969"before you watch this, It is a good-laugh dissapointment.

Okay, but Not Great! Lacks the Charm of the Older Swedish Movies!

This Americanized version of The Swedish Pippi Longstocking movies is okay but not anywhere near as good as the older Swedish movies and also lacks the charm of those movies! Also in the books Pippi is about 9 or 10 years old but in this movie the actress is a teenager around 14 or 15 years old and just too old to be playing a little girl!

not as good as the original

Although a cute movie, this remake can not live up to the original swedish movies. Pipi is way too old and does not match the discription in the books by astrid lindgren, the songs are not fun and the whole feel there was to the original is ruined. To perfect, to clean

    It should've got an Oscar

I'm currently 16 yrs old and this is my favourite movie, always has been, always will be. Tami Erin plays an awesome Pippi and i think that everyone young and old should rent it because sure, it isn't the best cinematography but hey, it was 1988! Pippi Longstocking is coming into your world....

    ROCK ON PIPPI LONGSTOCKING!

i'm 15 years old, and my favorite movie is ''the new adventures of pippi longstocking''. seriously, it is the best movie ever. movies these days are so boring and despressing. ''the new adventures of pippi longstocking'' is such a fun movie, and the songs are awesome. it's really funny too. i'm not talking about the new cartoon one - i like the one with tami erin. it stinks that you can't buy the soundtrack in stores anymore. i used to have the tape when i was little, but i listened to it so much that it broke. i havent seen the movie in about a year. i dont watch that many movies, but i really think i should rent ''the new adventures of pippi longstocking'' soon. i think that anyone who doesn't like this movie is a LOSER!
