This is a excellent film. It is very touching to the heart. "The Other Sister" is a must see film. Carla Tate is the protagonist you'll belove from the moment she appeares. The film is a drama, comedy and slight romance all in one.
Juliette Lewis and Giovonni Ribisi deserved Oscars for their superb acting in this movie. I own it and EVERY time I watch it it brings me to tears. That wedding scene where "At Last" is sung and then the wedding vows is extremely touching. Diane Keaton and Tom Skerrit had the exact blend of long-term marriage and parents of adult chidren. But ultimately, both Juliette and Giovonni completely made this movie, and in my humble opinion, these performances were the best of their careers.
Letting the world know that there somebody for everybody and life don't stop it go on. The young lady free her mine when she spoke her mine, this is truely a love story that every family should see.
This movie shows that individuals that are challenged, have the same capabilities as others.Excellent movie;)

"The Other Sister" is a wonderful movie about the wealthy Tate family's youngest daughter, Carla, a special young woman who begins a new life living with her family once again, discovering herself, and love.
a must see emotional film, heart touching and joyful. a film for all the over protecting parents out there to see.
I felt so touching after her mom finally let her go and have a life. Also, how they loved each othere so much and how they fit each other perfectly.
