While this film tells the story of Israel with a distinct bias in favor of the PA, the production is first rate, the acting excellent, every aspect combining to make a strong entertainment. Anyone looking at "The Promise" as a history lesson should keep some of Martin Gilbert's histories near at hand to create some balance.
