    Promise of Love

I've loved this movie ever since it originally aired on television. It's sappy, yes, but it's well-done sappiness with all the screen angst of the 1970s/ 80s teen movies. Fans of Valerie Bettinelli will bask in the drama of her performance. The movie has tears, laughs, and the ending is all about finding a new love and moving on with life through the worst tragedy. If you love Lifetime TV movies, you will truly enjoy this offering.
