Editorial Reviews

Barnes & Noble - Donald Liebenson
In the thrilling third installment of the BBC's award-winning live-action miniseries based on C.S. Lewis's timeless fantasy, "dragons and enchantments" and other adventures await put-upon schoolmates Eustace and Jill. The duo escapes taunting classmates through a garden door that leads them to Narnia, where they overcome all hazards and are charged by lion-king Aslan to find the long-lost son of the now-aged King Caspian. That's Tom Baker (arguably the most popular incarnation of the legendary Doctor Who) as Caspian's helper Puddleglum and Warwick Davis (of Ewok and Willow fame) as the sword-wielding rodent, Glimfeather. The other installments in the series -- the award-winning The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and Prince Caspian and the Voyage of the Dawn Treader -- are also available on VHS and DVD individually or in a boxed set.

    The Chronicles Come To Life

A wonderful presentation of the C.S.Lewis series . It was as if the books came to life. I urge the support for the rest of the series to be produced.

An adventure for every Narnian to see again and again!

By far the best of the video productions for the Chronicles of Narnia series, the Silver Chair is everything you would expect from this classic tale. Tom Baker fans will enjoy seeing Dr. Who play a very different part. The direction is good, the casting is good and special effects (especially in the giant land) was very well thought out. An A++ in the DVD format!

    video review

If you are fans of C.S. Lewis Chronicles of Narnia, then this movie is a must see. The director did an excellent job of following the story, and much of the film appeared as I had imagined after reading the books. I only wish Wonderworks would make films out of the rest of the Narnia series, and that it would be released on DVD.
