The Simpsons continues to bring the laughs in Season 11 (1999-2000), ten whole years after the first episode, "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire." Not every season is perfection, but there are still many great episodes in this year's set. In "Guess Who's Coming to Criticize Dinner," Homer becomes the town's new food critic, but eventually his life is threatened after he writes too many negative reviews. "Treehouse of Horror X" features three fantasy shorts, the best of which is "Desperately Xeeking Xena," wherein the Collector (Comic Book Guy) captures Lucy Lawless and dips her in plastic to display her on a shelf; it's up to Stretch Dude (Bart) and Clobber Girl (Lisa) to rescue her. In "E-I-E-I-(Annoyed Grunt)," Homer borrows some plutonium from the nuclear plant to get his tomato and tobacco crops to grow faster. The result is a bizarre mutation Homer dubs "Tomacco." "Grift of the Magi" features Homer, Bart, Lisa, and a karate-chopping Gary Coleman fighting against a corporation that makes Funzo, an evil toy that destroys other toys. When Ned Flanders's wife, Maude, dies after being struck by a T-shirt fired from a cannon at a racing event, in "Alone Again, Natura-Diddly," Homer takes up the cause to get Ned dating again. Lisa wants to become a dancer in "Last Tap Dance in Springfield," but as fellow student Ralph Wiggum complains, "Lisa's bad dancing makes my feet sad!" And finally, in one of the more inspired Simpsons episodes to date, "Behind the Laughter," the Simpsons are profiled in a Behind the Music-type tell-all documentary spoof, narrated by VH1's Jim Forbes. The rise and fall of the family is featured: "For America's favorite family, everything was coming up roses...but those roses contained ready-to-sting bees." Of course, Season 11 is once again loaded with special features, including audio commentaries on every episode, deleted scenes, animation showcases, original sketches, featurettes, and footage of the Simpsons receiving their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

    I Love Krusty!!

    I must say this DVD has really outdone the rest. The packaging is phenomenal. It is centered around a circus theme and all of the characters are incorporated in the images. The slots are hidden within the pictures, so at first you cannot see the DVD¿s (really cool). Since I am Simpson¿s fanatic, I love all the episodes. A great buy for those who collect these DVD¿s.

    The Simpsons 11th Season

    I loved the concept of the box, but I think it was packaged horribly. When you tried to take the discs out of the tight, cardboard flaps, you either:<BR/>a)scratched the disk<BR/>b)got your fingerprints smudged all over the disk<BR/>The illustrations on the box were great, I just don't think the way they packaged the disks was as good as other season box sets. Now on the subject of the actual episodes, they were alright. I think the showrunner, Al Jean, changed the Simpson family from a touching but still hilarious show to a not-so-touching show. The Simpsons are still funny, just not heartwarming.

    LET THE SIDESHOW BEGIN!

    Best packaging idea to date. Now I hope they hurry with the rest of the seasons before I end up like Grandpa Simpson and become to feeble to watch them.
