Overview

Cameron Diaz takes part in another trio, but she's less than an angel in The Sweetest Thing. The gross-out girls movie by Nancy Pimental arrives on DVD with both widescreen and full-screen presentations. Dolby Digital 5.1 audio is offered in English or French languages with like subtitles. Special features include a filmmakers' commentary with director Roger Kumble, director of photography Anthony Richmond, screenwriter Nancy Pimental, producer Cathy Konrad, and executive producers Stewart Besser and Ricky Strauss. "A Day in the Life of Nancy M. Pimental" is a parody of what it's like to be a screenwriter; "Politically Erect" is a fun behind-the-scenes featurette with the cast and crew; and storyboard comparisons for the Motorcycle and Bird scenes are included along with filmographies and trailers for The Sweetest Thing, Charlie's Angels, Cruel Intentions, Enough, Mr. Deeds, My Best Friend's Wedding, New Best Friend, Panic Room, and Wild Things. On a whole, this is a pretty sweet package.

Clever packaging of boy fantasy and girl fantasy.
Los Angeles Times
A movie with a real anarchic flair.
Hollywood Reporter
Diaz can blunder into the crudest situations with such sweet innocence as to inspire giggles rather than groans.

    Insight into a woman's mind!

I love this movie and can't recommend it enough! For the cute version, watch it rated. For true insight to a woman's mind (and yes, heart), don't miss the unrated version! Cameron Diaz, Selma Blair, and Christina Applegate are absolutely stunning to watch, and keep you laughing and wanting more! Buy it now and watch it over and over again! =)

    Nasty

This movie is disgusting. Thomas Jane, who plays Mr. Right, Peter, is the only good thing about this movie. The rest is garbage.

    Cute, a real chick flick

Quite the chick flick.....a great look at the female side of dating. Christina was wonderful. Although it was a light hearted movie, Cameron Diaz's performance left a bit to be desired. I enjoyed her performace much more in ''There's Something About Mary''. The soundtrack was fantastic...(wish I could find the CD-I've looked everywhere)..Gotta love the penis song!!!

    Hysterical

There were some scenes which I would not want to watch with my mother around (no matter how old you are) but overall, it was just hysterical. Cute story, great writing. I was howling at some scenes...and I was skeptical about watching it. If you liked Something about Mary - watch this. If you weren't crazy about Mary, watch this -- its even better!!!!! Best comedy I've seen in a long time.

    My American Idol

Christina (Diaz) has become my idol. Spunky and confident, she and her friends live life to its fullest. This is the most entertaining movie I've ever seen.

    Love it

I think that every single girl should watch this movie! It relates to girls every where. It takes the girls point of view and not what guys think that girls act like! Make sure to get the unrated version. The penis song makes the movie!

    What a waste of time

I usually like Cameron Diaz, but this movie was a snoozer. Very poorly acted...had potential..but never quite there.
