GRIPPING! YOU'LL BE ENTRANCED FOR THE ENTIRE DURATION!

This is one of those movies you'll want to watch repeatedly. Supremely acted- you feel like you're there- observing the gestures, catching those forbidden gazes, feeling the heartache and despair, anticipating the next moment! I watched this as the hit miniseries in 1983 and now feel the need to own this creative splendor. This is definately one of, if not THE best movie ever (the multiple Emmies are evidence of that). Bring tissues.

Where is the DVD for this?

For one of the most popular miniseries ever on television, I am amazed that this is not out on DVD!! Truly an amazing story and beautifully crafted. I never grow tired of watching it. But a DVD sure would be NICE!

Wonderful and Romantic movie - One of a kind!

It was a great movie. One of a kind! I wish it will never end. Richard Chamberlain is magnificent he plays the role so well with charm and class. Everybody in the movie is so professional that you feel that it is happening in front of your own eyes. I'am a romantic person and I enjoyed every minute of it!

My favourite movie of any kind!!!

Brilliantly performed by all actors. Touching and remains with you forever. It lets you feel as if you are on a one-on-one basis with the characters. Excellent theme plot, conclusion, albeit sad.
