Ok. So we've all seen more than one zombie movie. Actually, there are really only about three or four you NEED to see. This film knows that, and has a good time with it. Tounge in cheek from the get-go, "The Vanguard" is a great play on the genre. From the crazy monochrome scenes, to the great soundtrack, and yes the BIKE, this movie had me from the beginning. Not top-notch by any rate, it is never the less a fun ride.

This movie had a cool cover and the plot line seemed to have some original value but fell short, more like fell flat on its face. From the get go it has poor cinematography, bad acting, lame zombies and an even worse protagonist. I could not sit past the point in which the bearded fella fought a zombie and drew his ACE Hardware hatchets in the cheesiest fashion. The film is an Indy one, but to the point that any puberty stricken teen could of put together with some friends. Oh yeah if the first few min of the film don¿t have you on your knees begging it to stop, the bike that the main character rides will. Not even worth a rent. Was this review helpful?
